I am so grateful for this piece! Gratitude is precious to me - it feels *essential* – and I worried that people are becoming saturated with pieces on the subject (my own recent one included!) But I can’t get enough! Thank you for helping me usher my doubt gently out the door after a cup of tea. Dinner is reserved for like-minded, deeply grateful souls! 🙏🥰

Thank you for saying this. I agree, I wonder if 'it's all been done or said before." But I need reminders and also appreciate knowing I'm not alone, there are many of us out there feeling these things. It's so important. There cannot be enough gratitude.

Oh Jessica, once again, you gave me a reason (permission?) to look up from the logistics of daily living to ponder the wider horizon of existence and soul. I love you for that and am so glad you move your seagulls along and get back to following your wonderful idea. What a gift to all of us.

Thank you for taking a moment to say that. It means a lot. Kinda stopped my breath for a sec, actually. Thank you.

Jessica, thank you so much for this. For your gratitude and honesty and vulnerability. And for sharing my words and a link to my essay "Jealousy and Other Visitors." Thank you for helping me feel better after coming off a weekend of my own seagull of self-doubt.

Words that I wrote found a home! That's wonderful! And I needed to be reminded of this today. That is your gift to me, and I accept it gratefully, humbly.

Don, I appreciate you so much. It’s been a good while since I studied Buddhist teachings and I am so grateful to be reading your real-life reflections on core principles of good living. Confirms my choice to be here on Substack exploring the practice of writing in community. Again, thank you.
