Jessica, I’m so touched by this, thank you for sharing it with your readers and for weaving in my words so beautifully. I really felt the tension you described between needing rest and feeling guilty about it. And yet, the way you’ve embraced it (even if imperfectly) is such a testament to the value of pause as necessity. Wishing you more rivers, more swims, and less guilt along the way!
Thank you for sharing your own experiences and thoughts! I went to university for a year in Aix-en-Province, but more recently spent two weeks with my family in a little village in Languedoc. Those weeks were so beautifully relaxed and reminded me of the pleasures of France, any time of year! All the best to you!
I love art museums. Just seeing your picture made me feel the pull. I think it's time for a trip to Boston! (We have our own Cape Cod Museum, but I'm in there all the time, as my wife teaches after school and summer art programs there.)
Thanks Don! My masters degree is in Museum Education and I miss working in the museum setting. Once again, wish we could hang out and go kick around some museums together! Have a great summer.
can’t wait to enlarge my spirit!!!
no need to apologize for not posting! love the message from this post, enjoy your summer
