That possum story is incredible. And it seems like a metaphor or something for WH's next chapter campaign - raising money to make sure that seven years from now we don't find the desiccated bones of humanities program behind an old wall.

Oh wow Jessica! A triple, or more, set of whammies!! Hope you're nearing the end of your Covid attack, and thank god you found the possum! One lived in our car engine when we were gone from MX buying books for 4 months up north, but did not keel over inside under the hood, luckily. They do like dark places. I am so glad about the Mellon Foundation coming through! That's a bright spot. Hoping more keep coming . . .

It is an example of a sentence that contains extra meaning. Yes, of course, it is an observation. But there are hidden instructions and statements of responsibility included.

This is a nice story told with a fascinating narrative. Do you know the line, "Dear, there is a dead possum in the yard." Think of all that communicates about responsibility for dead possums.
