The Solar Eclipse, the Amazon driver, and the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your current understanding of the world.
"In a study of people watching fireworks in 144 different countries, they found that people’s facial expressions were the same." That made me smile. So wholesome, as is the Amazon driver scene. This Greater Good Science Center sounds like a fascinating place to work at. I also totally share your experience with travel and noticing things - I just took a bus to a nearby-ish city that I enjoyed so thoroughly that I didn't want it to end, even after 4 hours. Just observing, thinking, being. So nice.
There is so much goodness in here, I’m so glad I wandered a bit and found this :-). Such a heartwarming eclipse story, two books I need to look for, and more love for awe and wonder and wandering 💕
I am glad you enjoyed Columbus and got to share your memories with the girls. Born in Syracuse, raised in Columbus, educated in Madison and Washington, living in Madison. With years in Germany and France, and travels widely from those points. Wanderlife. And every time I see that "signature" JB I am struck by a connection with someone you never met.

Yay! Where did you go!? Travel is such a treat and a joy!
Florence! Highly recommended. If you ever have to choose between Milan and Florence, go to the latter!
Ahhhh! I was there once as a 21-year-old and still have the leather bag I obsessed over!
Sounds like I need to take a trip to Ohio for the 32 room bookstore
Yes! The books are also all discounted. Lots of reasons to visit Columbus. We didn’t make it to the art museum but it’s awesome!
This was lovely on so many levels and I'm thinking, "Whoa, I just subscribed to Andy a couple days ago! What are the odds?!" 👏🥰

Thank you!!! Great to ‘meet’ you and I’m always glad to hear when something strikes a chord and is inspiring!
We came on the Sloop John B.

Aw, it’s true! I love that connection!
Lovely post, Jessica. And that Tom Robbins quote is terrific! Thanks also for mentioning FlakPhoto. Let's walk again soon!
